Justine Brooks Froelker, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (based on the research of Brené Brown) with a private practice in St. Louis, Missouri. For over 16 years she has helped her clients achieve success in improving their quality of life as it relates to anxiety, relationships, infertility, pregnancy loss and miscarriage, perfectionism, bereavement and common discontent. Justine uses an authentic, straight-forward and non-shaming approach to create a safe space for her clients to address concerns, just as she does in her writings.
Justine started in the counseling field in 1999 with Preferred Family Healthcare (PFH) in Kirksville, MO. While at PFH, Justine worked with adult substance abuse clients and facilitated many psycho-educational groups.
After three years at PFH, Justine joined McCallum Place Eating Disorders Treatment Programs in St. Louis. During her time with McCallum Place, Justine performed several roles including, Admissions, Utilization Review, Aftercare Coordinator, and Therapist.
Justine can be seen regularly on the St. Louis KMOV live midday show, Great Day St. Louis. She contributes to the monthly publication, St. Louis Health & Wellness Magazine, as an expert therapist and is regularly published by The Huffington Post. She is also currently updating her blog, Ever Upward, which can be found at www.everupward.org. Justine released her debut book Ever Upward: Overcoming the Lifelong Losses of Infertility to Define Your Own Happy Ending in April 2015. Ever Upward is now available at all major retailers. The Mother of Second Chances, Justine's second book, debuted as a #1 New Release on Amazon and is now available for purchase.
Justine holds a BA in Psychology from Truman State University and a Masters degree in Community Counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is also a graduate of the Coach U Core Essentials Program, a program designed to coach clients on issues such as relationships, personal and professional development.
Justine lives in Saint Louis, Missouri with her husband Chad and their three dogs. She enjoys her childfull life by spending time with friends and family, practicing creative self-care, laughing (sometimes at herself) and building butterfly gardens on her acre of land, which has made her an accidental butterfly farmer.
